Davidson is a collegiate lake town ~19–22 miles north of Uptown Charlotte, anchored by Davidson College and a walkable Main Street. It sits primarily in Mecklenburg County (with small areas in Iredell/Cabarrus), with 2020 Census population 15,106.

Vibe & lifestyle. Brick-lined downtown, indie shops and cafés, a year-round Davidson Farmers Market (Saturdays, 9–noon, at 120 S. Main St.), and access to Lake Norman’s coves and greenways.

Getting around. Direct access off I-77 Exit 30, officially the Stephen/Steph Curry Interchange; CATS runs the 77X North Mecklenburg Express and a local 290 Davidson Shuttle to/from Charlotte
